Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 30, 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, to remember preferences, or to collect information about how a site is used.

Similar technologies - such as browser local storage, session storage, and pixel tags - may serve comparable functions and are covered by this policy where applicable.

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on reloadwp.com, operated by XOCO WEB SRL (CUI 45465782, Registration No. J20/46/2022, EUID ROONRC.J20/46/2022), and why.

2. Our Approach: Privacy by Design

ReloadWP is built to be as privacy-friendly as possible. We use the minimum number of technologies strictly necessary to operate the site, and nothing more.

We do not use, and have not implemented, any of the following:

  • Analytics cookies or scripts (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar, Plausible, Matomo)
  • Advertising or retargeting cookies (e.g., Facebook Pixel, Google Ads conversion tracking, LinkedIn Insight Tag)
  • Social media tracking scripts or share buttons with embedded third-party trackers
  • Any third-party cookie or script that tracks your behaviour across other websites
  • Behavioural profiling, fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking of any kind

If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and implement an appropriate consent mechanism before any non-essential cookies are set.

3. Legal Framework

Cookie use in the EU is governed by two overlapping legal frameworks:

  • The EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC, as amended by 2009/136/EC) - which requires prior informed consent before placing non-essential cookies on a user's device.
  • The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) - Regulation (EU) 2016/679 - which applies where cookies or similar technologies process personal data.

Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the consent requirement under both frameworks, provided they are genuinely essential for the operation of the site or service explicitly requested by the user. All cookies and technologies we use fall within this exemption.

Because we use no non-essential cookies, we are not required to display a cookie consent banner under current EU law. We have designed the site this way intentionally.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies We Use

The following table lists all cookies and browser storage technologies currently active on reloadwp.com:

We do not set any first-party or third-party analytics, advertising, or personalisation cookies. This table reflects the complete and current inventory of technologies active on the site.

5. Local Storage vs. Cookies

The reloadwp-cookie-consent value is stored using your browser's local storage rather than an HTTP cookie. Unlike cookies, local storage values are not automatically transmitted to our servers with each request - they remain on your device only. This approach was chosen to minimise unnecessary data transmission while still honouring your stated preferences.

Local storage data persists until you clear your browser data or we update your preference record. It is device- and browser-specific: your preferences on one device will not carry over to another.

6. Why We Do Not Display a Cookie Consent Banner

Under the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR, a cookie consent banner is only legally required for cookies or technologies that are not strictly necessary - such as analytics, advertising, or personalisation cookies. Because we use none of these, we are not required to obtain your prior consent before the site loads.

We consider this the correct approach under current EU law and guidance. If we introduce any optional cookies or tracking technologies in the future, we will:

  • Update this policy with full disclosure before any such technology is deployed.
  • Implement a compliant consent mechanism (granular, informed, freely given, easily withdrawable) prior to setting any non-essential cookie or technology.
  • Not set any non-essential cookie or technology until affirmative consent is obtained.

7. Managing and Deleting Cookies

You can control, restrict, or delete cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Instructions for the most common browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
  • Apple Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions
  • Opera: Settings > Advanced > Privacy & security > Site Settings > Cookies

For general guidance on managing cookies across browsers, visit allaboutcookies.org.

Removing the strictly necessary infrastructure cookies or local storage entries described in this policy will not meaningfully affect your ability to use reloadwp.com, as we do not rely on cookies for authentication, personalisation, or core functionality.

8. Updating Your Cookie Preferences

You can review or reset your cookie preferences at any time by visiting reloadwp.com/cookies. Your preferences are stored locally on your device and apply only to this site on this browser.

To clear your stored preference, you may also clear your browser's local storage via your browser settings (see Section 7 above).

9. Third-Party Websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. This Cookie Policy applies only to reloadwp.com. We are not responsible for the cookie practices or privacy policies of any external site. We encourage you to review the cookie and privacy policies of any site you visit.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time - for example, if we introduce new features, change our technology providers, or in response to changes in applicable law or regulatory guidance. All changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

If we introduce any non-essential cookies or tracking technologies for the first time, we will notify users in advance and obtain required consents before deployment. We will not introduce such technologies silently or without prior disclosure.
